Home > Haiku Poetry, Poetry > Cherish…

Watching peaceful sleep;

No better place in the world

then here by your side.

Blissful ignorance;

My time spent now gone, wasted

with my selfish pride.

Cherish all you have;

Alone again, a lifetime

is a big number.

For todays Poetry Pantry I tried to write a love poem. Instead, I ended up with a semi love poem that ends painful. Don’t ask me why, love poetry is my Achilles’ heel. Hope everyone enjoys!

    Your Haiku form holds true throughout the piece…well done. Love poetry is often as much about pain as it is about happiness; this IS a Love poem.
