Water Post (no title) – Thursday Think Tank

Here is my Thursday Think Tank post for Poet’s United. FORWARNING, there is some strong verbage near the end. Thanks for stopping by and reading.

water lost
to vagrant fate’s,
killed by man’s,
polluted tastes,
toxic sewage,
acid rain,
rape and pillage
lakes and lands,
oceans killed
by oil slicks,
those BP pricks
don’t give a Shit!

take back our
world
from corporate
hands,
do what’s right,
you know you can.

(c) 2010 by D. Wright

Hope everyone enjoyed. I really liked the concept and flow of this poem so I definitely think it will be creeping back up in the near future with full revision.

they are definitely a cause but unless people stand, fight, and push for change (not the change Obama has brought about) nothing will be done before it is too late. grassroots movements all the way!

DC Wright, I really like the flow of this poem too. It had a good rhythm as I read it. Your strong feelings came through loud and clear. I enjoyed your comment that you will be coming back at some point and making a full revision. I do this often as well with my poetry….after it has sat a while. Nice to meet you here on Poets United.

Telling it like it is…I love your passion! And of course, you’re right…we each must take responsibility and do our part.

Love the flow and the beat of the poem..it has the same sense of urgency your message contains…

I think the form and message work together. The short lines get straight to the point and I do agree with your thoughts on the matter.
